Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration

Grand Galvez invites everyone to celebrate the holidays with its annual Grand Galvez Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration tradition on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The event takes place on the Centennial Green at the front of the hotel.The celebration begins with the arrival of Santa Claus, the beloved, legendary Christmas figure, with performances by the Galveston Ballet and Galveston Symphony Brass Ensemble. Santa’s arrival is followed by the lighting of the hotel’s 35-foot Christmas tree, decorated with thousands of lights.
